About the Intervention Training

To effectively conduct our Intervention Programme teachers or experienced TAs and a Support Teacher (ideally the SENCO or Maths Subject Leader) will require training.

The training will follow the pedagogical principles that underpin the Numicon teaching approach and will include some direct teaching, observation of children working (via video clips), practical activities and discussion.

Who will lead the training?

If you are from a school and are interested in training, pleases contact Mimi on 01273 511890 or training@numicon.com. She will then put you in touch with one of our independent Numicon accredited Trainers or with one of your LA teams if they have been trained by Numicon to deliver the Intervention Training. Numicon Training is approved by the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM).

The Supporting Teacher is required to attend the morning of Day 1 of the training, and is welcome to attend all other sessions.
