Interactive Whiteboard Software
Designed to enhance the multi-sensory Numicon programme, our software offers teachers a rich library of images and models to use on interactive whiteboards in arithmetic teaching.
The software includes Numicon images and number rods which can be used with the number lines, number tracks, hundred squares and other models to help pupils make connections in problem solving and understand the properties of arithmetic operations like inverse and commutativity. There are also objects for counting, number generators and hoops to use in sorting, division and fractions.

These lessons are designed to help teachers get started with using the
Numicon interactive whiteboard software. Numicon visual imagery is
structured to represent number and number relationships. The lessons
show how to use the images to give children a picture of arithmetic
operations and mental arithmetic strategies.
The lessons address aspects of the English National Curriculum for Mathematics in
Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. There are three sets of ten lessons,
Numicon Foundation, Numicon Kit 1 and Numicon Kit 2. The lessons are
not designed as a complete teaching programme although there is
progression within each set.
Each lesson uses Numicon images or number rods with other models to make the main teaching points and to demonstrate
practical activities. Pupils can then follow up the whiteboard lesson
in practical work to maintain the important multi-sensory approach. To
