Designed for all early years settings, the Firm Foundations Kit gives teachers lots of practical ideas for helping children to develop understanding of numbers and number relationships. The kit
is packed in a deep durable storage tray. Children find the colourful Numicon Shapes attractive. The easy-to-follow Teaching Programme is set out on 14 clearly illustrated Activity Cards which help children to learn the colours and patterns of Numicon, recognise and order numerals and their values, and begin practical addition and subtraction.
Ideas for assessment and a Planning Chart are included as well as a Teaching Guide. Firm Foundations Kit printed materials can be ordered separately to update the original Foundation Kit (details on request from Numicon).
